What to expect
You'll stay fully clothed, and the session can be done seated or lying down.
It's a wonderful choice if you carry tension in your neck and shoulders, spend long hours at a desk, or simply need a peaceful break.
Please note
This is not the same as traditional Champi (Champissage) Indian head massage, which uses a more vigorous, invigorating technique. This Western version is gentle and soothing throughout.
Your session, step by step
Get comfortable
Sit in a supportive chair or lie on the table, whichever feels best for you.
A quick check-in
Tell Christine where you hold tension and how much pressure feels good.
Shoulders and neck
Slow, flowing strokes ease the tops of the shoulders and the back of the neck.
Scalp and head
Soft circles and gentle strokes across the scalp help you let go completely.
Come back slowly
Take a moment, sip some water, and smooth your hair before heading out.
Gentle, from start to finish
Smooth, flowing strokes and gentle pressure for the places stress likes to settle: the scalp, the neck and the shoulders.
How head massage may help
- Melts away tension
- Gentle strokes help release tightness in the scalp, neck and shoulders, where stress often builds up.
- Lowers heart rate
- As your body relaxes, your breathing slows and your heart rate naturally settles.
- Promotes sleep
- Many clients feel drowsy and deeply calm afterwards, and often sleep better that night.
- Improves circulation
- Massage encourages blood flow to the scalp, face and neck, leaving you feeling refreshed.
- Supports healthy hair
- Increased circulation to the scalp may support a healthy scalp and hair.
Especially good if you…
- Carry tension in your neck and shoulders
- Spend long hours at a desk or on your phone
- Find it hard to wind down at night
- Want a massage without undressing
- Prefer gentle pressure

Questions people ask
Is this the same as Champi?
No. Traditional Champi (Champissage) uses a more vigorous, invigorating technique. This Western version is gentle and soothing throughout.
Do I need to undress?
No. You stay fully clothed for the whole session.
Seated or lying down: which is better?
Both are lovely. Lying down tends to feel sleepier, while sitting can be easier if lying flat isn't comfortable for you.
Will my hair be messy afterwards?
It may be a little tousled. Bringing a brush or hair tie is a good idea.
Which length should I choose?
30 minutes is perfect for a quick reset. 45 or 60 minutes gives you more time to settle and let tension fully melt away. Not sure? Choose “Not sure yet” when you book and Christine can help you decide.
