Holy Fire Reiki

Reiki is a gentle Japanese energy healing practice. The practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above the body to help encourage relaxation and balance.

Holy Fire Reiki is a newer, refined form of Reiki known for feeling especially gentle, nurturing and calming.

What to expect

You'll rest comfortably, fully clothed, on a treatment table in a quiet, peaceful space.

Many people feel warmth, tingling, or deep relaxation, and some even drift off to sleep. There's nothing you need to do, and nothing you need to believe. Your only job is to rest.

Your session, step by step

  1. Settle in

Slip off your shoes, lie back on the table and get cosy under a soft blanket.

  2. A quiet check-in

Share anything on your mind, or anywhere you're holding tension. Let Christine know if you'd prefer hands to hover rather than rest on you.

  3. The session

Christine's hands rest lightly in a series of positions, usually moving from head to feet and staying a few minutes in each.

  4. Come back slowly

Take a moment to stretch, sit up and sip some water before you head back into your day.

What a session may feel like

Reiki encourages your body to shift out of “fight or flight” and into “rest and restore,” where true relaxation happens.

Fight or flightRacing thoughts, tight shoulders, shallow breath

Rest and restoreSlower breath, softer muscles, a quieter mind

A scale from fight or flight to rest and restore. A Reiki session gently encourages you toward rest and restore.
  • Warmth

Many people notice a gentle warmth where Christine's hands rest.

  • Tingling

A soft tingling, or a sense of energy moving through the body.

  • Heaviness

Your body may feel heavy and deeply relaxed, as if sinking into the table.

  • Drifting off

Some people fall asleep, and that's perfectly fine.

  • Release

Feelings can rise to the surface. Sighs, tears and even laughter are all welcome.

Everyone's experience is different, and simply feeling rested is enough.

Good to know

Before your visit

  • Wear something loose and comfortable.
  • Try to skip a heavy meal or lots of caffeine just before.
  • Arrive a few minutes early so you don't feel rushed.

Afterwards

  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Rest when you can, and go gently for the rest of the day.
  • Give yourself a day or two to integrate the experience.

Let Christine know if

  • You'd prefer hands-off Reiki, with hands just above the body.
  • You're pregnant or living with a health condition.
  • Lying flat is uncomfortable, so Christine can help you get cosy.

Questions people ask

Do I need to believe in Reiki for it to help?

No. Many people come simply to rest. You're welcome to arrive curious, sceptical, or anywhere in between.

Will I need to talk during the session?

Only if you'd like to. Most people stay quiet and rest, and you're always free to speak up.

What if I fall asleep?

That's completely fine, and it happens often. Your body takes the rest it needs.

Can Reiki replace my medical care?

No. Reiki is a complementary practice that supports your well-being alongside, not instead of, medical care. Please keep following your doctor's advice.

Which length should I choose?

30 minutes is a lovely introduction. 45 or 60 minutes gives you more time to settle and sink deeper into rest. Not sure? Choose “Not sure yet” when you book and Christine can help you decide.

Ready to slow down?

Send a request with a time that suits you, and Christine will reply to confirm.
